I’ve been wondering why so many german publishers print the text on the spine running bottom up. If you stack them you can’t read it comfortably unless you stack them face down. Any logic behind this? The Reclam books – at least the one I own – are like the english ones.

BBS Documentarty
Oh, this brings up a lot of memories. The best of times. Before the commercial internet, before the bullshit world. When computers and communication over the wire with a US Robotics was something only few enthusiasts shared. I ran a mailbox and Fido Node, chatted with people from the other side of the planet and downloaded stuff that would have gotten me in trouble – that’s what happens when you don’t have a TV. It was a glorious time.
